World No.1, Caroline Wozniacki having shown an Impressive performance in the 2011 WTA tournament and ended the season at No.1 in WTA Rankings has her fifth straight player of the year award in the Danish Tennis Association (DTA).
Wozniacki has received the fifth consecutive player of the year. However, the world No.1 is could not able clinch a grand slam title in her career. In 2011, Wozniacki having got a win-loss record of 63-17 has won 6-WTA titles in Dubai, Indian Wells, Charleston, Brussels, Copenhagen and New Haven.
Dane world No.1 speaking about her fifth consecutive player of the year award has said that, I am incredibly proud of winning this title once again. It is always special to be recognized for your achievements in your own country.
DTA has organized polling with selected tennis journalists, TV commentators and sports editors to nominate the tennis player of the year for Denmark’s with Wozniacki winning the poll to receive her fifth player of the year award. However, the 21-years old Dane was not present at the award ceremony, as she was busy enjoying her holiday’s with boy friend, Rory Mcllory by touring and training in the United States.
Earlier, Caroline Wozniacki has previously named as Denmark’s junior tennis player of the year from 2003 to 2006.
