Former American world No.1, Pete Sampras will be squaring off with the Canadian Raising star, Milos Raonic in an exhibition match at Air Canada Centre on November, 17th, 2011.
Milos Raonic has ended-up his 2011 season on Monday, after being defeated in the first round of the 2011 Paris Masters against the French world No.54, Julien Benneteau in a thrilling three set thrilling with a score line of 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-4.
However, the Canadian world No.29, Raonic had a great season in 2011 by clinching his first ATP Tour title in February in San Jose and reached the final in Memphis a week later. Raonic has completed the season with a win-loss record of 31-19 winning his first ATP world tour title in his career.
Despite the loss, the 20-year-old from Thorn hill, Ontario, has had a great season to remember.
Earlier, Raonic announced that, he will be playing an exhibition match this Fall against hall-of-famer and tennis legend Pete Sampras at the Air Canada Centre (ACC) in Toronto. He announced that the match with Pete Sampras is scheduled for November 17th of this year and that he was excited about the opportunity.
Raonic has met the Sampras, after winning his first title in San Jose and later took some advice form the tennis legend.
Sampras would be playing his first match in The Face-Off will be a tennis exhibition in Canada, since his retirement from the ATP World Tour.
