The Ukraine top seed Alexandr Dolgopolov will meet Dudi Sela of Israel in the first round of the 2011 St. Petersburg Open tournament on Monday at 10:30 GMT.
The World No. 16th ranked Dolgopolov has been playing consistently well in this season, he has lost in the opening the Kremlin Cup tournament last week in Moscow. Dolgopolov has showed best appearance of the season at Shanghai Rolex Masters, where he has entered into the quarter finals of the tournament. Dolgopolov also reached the semi finals of the Metz Open in France last month.
The Israel star Dudi Sela has playing tough schedule against best players, where he has lost US Open second round to World No. 4th ranked Roger Federer in straight sets and Winston Salem second round to American John Isner in consecutive sets with a 7-6 and 6-2. Alexandr Dolgopolov and Dudi Sela are fight for the first time in career, where Ukraine star is looking hot favorite to win the match and move to second round of the 2011 St. Petersburg Open tournament, played on indoor hard courts in Russia.
In the other matches top seed Gilles Simon of France will clash against Adrian Mannarino and Russian top seed Mikhail Youzhny to battle against Sergiy Stakhovsky of Ukraine in the opening round matches on Monday played on indoor hard courts in Russia.
