The former American tennis legend Pete Sampras praises World No. 1 Novak Djokovic winning streak is one of the best seasons seen in his tennis career.
The former World No. 1 Sampras said Djokovic has showing his best performance to win the Grand Slam titles this year, where Serbian lost the first two sets against Roger Federer and return back strongly in the 2011 US Open semi finals last month. Djokovic has made 64-3 win loss record along with10 titles including three Grand Slams at Australian Open, Wimbledon and US Open. The World No. 2 Rafael Nadal has faced stunning defeats in two major tournament finals at Wimbledon and US Open.
The American former tennis player John McEnroe said Djokovic has played best tennis this year, since Australian tennis legend Rod Laver in 1969. Laver is the only player to win all Grand Slam tournament titles in a season on all surfaces grass, clay and hard courts. Djokovic has dominated men’s tennis and dethroned greatest players of all time Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Djokovic also climbed to top position in the ATP Rankings, where Nadal and Federer holds No. 2 and No. 3 spots respectively.
The 2011 US Open champion Djokovic said it’s unfortunate to withdrawn from the China Open and Shanghai masters, which will begin this month in Beijing. He added he will return back to tennis soon, where he has been working a lot of therapies to get better.
