Third seeded player, Gilles Simon will be squaring off with the German player, Matthias Bachinger to enter into the final four of the 2011 Bangkok Open.

France world No.12, Gilles Simon is all set to take on the unseeded player in tournament, Matthias Bachinger in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Thailand Open on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 13:30 GMT, in ATP-250 tournament, which is being held in Bangkok, Thailand.

This will be their first head to head encounter between both the players as the top seeded German player; Simon is huge favourite to enter into semifinals of the tournament.

2009 Bangkok Champion, Gilles Simon has got a bye in first round and will be taking on Thai player, Lu to book his place in third round. The third seeded German behind Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils has won tow-title this season at Sydney and Hamburg. Simon’s has been in a top class form this season with a win-loss record of 37-21 in 2011.

Third seeded player has thrashed out the Thailand player, Yen-hsun Lu in thrilling three set encounter with a score line of 6-7(4) 7-5 6-4 to book his place in the quarters of the Bangkok Open.

Germany world No.98, Matthias Bachinger having been played few matches this season has shown a brilliant performance in the ATP world tour title. He has thrashed out Danai Udomchoke in the third round of the tournament with a score line of 7-6(5) 6-3.
