The World No. 4th ranked Andy Murray will battle against Grigor Dimitrov of Bulgaria in the Thailand Open quarter final of the 2011 Thailand Open. The match will kick off at the 12:05 GMT on Friday.
The 24-year-old Andy Murray has reached the quarter final of the Thailand Open, after beating German star Michael Berrer in consecutive sets with a 6-4 and 6-2 score line in the round 16 match on Thursday and received opening round bye. Murray, who has played one of his best season, as he reached semi final of three Grand Slams and Australian Open final this year.
Bulgaria star Grigor Dimitrov has triumph over against Simone Bolelli of Italy in the second round in straight sets with a 7-6 and 6-1. Dimitrov has been improving his performance on the ATP World Tour, where he has reached the second round of the Australian Open and Wimbledon this year. Currently, Dimitrov holds World No. 76th position in the ATP Rankings and hopes to improve this year.
Andy Murray and Grigor Dimitrov are clashing for the first time in career, where the odds favors Britain star is looking hot favorite to win the Thailand quarter final and advance into the final of the tournament. Andy Murray has been seeded No. 1 in the 2011 Thailand Open and favorite to clinch the title, played here on hard courts in Bangkok.
