The Frenchman Gilles Simon will play against Yen-Hsun Lu of Taiwan in the second round of the Thailand Open tournament. The match will kick off at 12:05 GMT on Wednesday.
The World No. 11th ranked Gilles Simon has been playing better this season, where he has entered into the fourth round of the French Open and US Open. Simon, who has played his last tournament at US Open, was lost to American John Isner in tough four sets with a 6-7, 6-3, 6-7 and 6-7 score line. Simon also lost in the quarter final of the Cincinnati Masters to World No. 3 Andy Murray in two sets with a 6-3 and 6-3.
The 28-year-old Yen-Hsun Lu has overcome against Joao Souza of Brazil in successive sets with a 6-2 and 7-5 in the first round on Monday. Yen-Hsun has made his best performance this year at Farmers Classic in Los Angeles, where he has reached the tournament quarter finals, but fell to American Ryan Harrison in three sets with a 6-3, 3-6 and 4-6 score line.
Both the players are battling for the fifth occasion, where 27-year-old Gilles Simon leads with a 4-0 win loss head-to-head record against Taiwan star. The pair last met at 2011 Australian Open, as Frenchman won the match in four sets with a 6-7(3), 6-2, 6-4 and 6-2. The odds favors Simon will win the second round and move to third round of the Thailand Open tournament, played here on hard court Indoors at Bangkok.
