Czech player Lucie Safarova is going to take on country player Andrea Hlavackova in the second round match on Bell Challenge 2011 on Thursday in the Quebec City.
No.2 seed Safarova registered a two straight set victory 6-3, 6-1 over United States player Jill Craybas in the first round of Bell Challenge 2011. Safarova is one of the strong contenders in the WTA Quebec City. She has won 4 WTA singles titles and 5 ITF titles in her career so far. Currently, she is at no. 26 in the WTA rankings and she reached her career high rank no.22 on 20 August 2007. She reached the third round of 2011 Australian Open defeating Shuai Zhang 7–5 4–6 6–1 in the first round, and Klára Zakopalová 6–3 6–7(2) 7–5 in the second. But, she failed to maintain the same form in the third round and lost World No.2 Vera Zvonareva 6–4 7–6(9). She advanced the 2011 Malaysian Open final.
World No.127 Andrea Hlavackova has won the doubles titles in the 2011 French Open with her partner Lucie Hradecka. She has won 5 WTA doubles title, as well as 15 ITF doubles titles and three ITF singles titles.
