Former US Open champions Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Kim Clijsters have been injured ahead of the US Open champion’s tournament, which is scheduled to be held form next week at New York.
While, Andrea Petkovic, Victoria Azarenka the other WTA player included in the Injured team ahead of the US Open grand slam tournament.
Defending US Open champion, Kim Clijsters has already announced her withdrawn from the US Open. She has been withdrawn form the Cincinnati Masters, due to abdominal muscle tear.
Former US Open Champion, Serena Williams after winning back to back title at Stanford Open and Roger’s Cup was looking in a good form at Cincinnati. However, the former No.1, Serena has announced her withdrawn form the Masters tournament, due to swollen right big toe injury.
Her sister and former US champ, Venus Williams, after her exit form the Wimbledon fourth round. She has been recovering from virus.
While, World No. 4, Victoria Azarenka has also been pulled out of the 2011 Cincinnati Masters, as she was suffering from a right hand strain and Andrea Petkovic is recovering from the Torn meniscus.
