2011 Australian Open champion, Kim Clijsters has been dropped down to WTA No.3 in Rankings, after her back to injuries this season, while the Serna Williams with back to back titles has topped in ranking and moved up to 31.
While, Caroline Wozniacki still continues to be top in WTA Rankings with 13,500 points and stay ahead of Russian, Vera Zvonareva and Kim Clijsters.
The Russian showing some good performance in WTA tournaments has moved up to No.2in the rankings, after Kim Clijsters retired during her second-round match last week at the Rogers Cup where she had been the defending champion.
Former American No.1, Serena Williams’s winning back to back titles in Stanford and Toronto has climbed 49 spots and she is the fifth-greatest player in one week jump of her career to No.31.
Williams is 15-2 since returning from a nearly yearlong layoff due to injuries. She’s won her last 11 matches and took the title Sunday at the Rogers Cup. That pushed her to No. 31 in the rankings, up from 80th. She is in the field at Cincinnati.
Petra Kvitova went up a spot to a career-high No.6, the highest a Czech has been ranked since Jana Novotna was also No.6 in July 1999.
The changes in the top of WTA are Maria Sharapova was dropped to No.7, while Petra Kvitova went up a spot to a career-high No.6.
