Ana Ivanovic Vs Roberta Vinci in 2011 Rogers Cup

The former World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic and Roberta Vinci will clash in the third round of the 2011 Rogers Cup tournament at 18:05 GMT on Thursday, 11th August at the Rexall Centre in Toronto.

The 23-year-old Ana Ivanovic has defeated Zhang Shuai of China with a 6-1 and 6-1 in the first round and overcome against Iveta Benesova of Czech Republic with a 6-3 and 6-2 in the second round of the Rogers Cup event, where it is a WTA Tour event, being played here at Rexall Centre in Toronto.

The Italian star Roberta Vinci has played outstandingly in the second round at Rexall Centre in Toronto on Wednesday night. She had thrashed World No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki in straight sets with a 6-4 and 7-5 and advanced into the third round to face Serbian Ivanovic. Roberta Vinci hopes to continue the same form in next round on Thursday.

Both the players are meeting for the sixth occasion, where Ivanovic leads with a 4-1 win-loss head-to-head record against Vinci. The pair last played at Pattaya Open in February this year, where Vinci clinched the victory in two sets with a 7-5 and 6-3. But, Ivanovic is looking huge favorite to win the third round match on Thursday to move into the fourth round of the 2011 Rogers Cup.
