The World No. 105 ranked Robert Kendrick has been banned from tennis for a year, after testing positive for prohibited stimulant methylhexaneamine.
The 31-year-old Robert Kendrick, who has played his last tournament in French Open at Roland Garros, he lost to Guillermo Garcia-Lopez of Spain in four sets. He will play his next tournament on May 22, 2012, after his completion of ban date. Kendrick had used the forbidden stimulant methylhexaneamine, during the French Open tournament. Kendrick has used the stimulant sample on 22nd May, 2011 at the French Open held in Paris.
The International Tennis Federation has accepted that Kendrick’s had taken stimulant capsule. The Tennis Anti-Doping Program declared that, no individual players should take banned substance. The International Tennis Federation has announced that, Robert Kendrick of United States has found guilty for a Doping Crime under Article C.1 of the Tennis Anti-Doping Program.
Methylhexaneamine is a prohibited material under section S6 of the 2010 WADA List of banned substances and it is also illegal under the Tennis Anti-Doping Program. Kendrick had never won a single ATP title so far in his career, where he had reached his career high of No. 69 in the ATP Rankings in 2009 season and never exceed the second round of a major tournament.
