Two unseeded players in the tournament, Juan Carlos Ferrero and Carlos Berlocq will be battling to enter into the final four of the 2011 Croatia Open.
Former world No.1, Juan Carols Ferrero will be clashing against the Argentina world No.83, Carlos Berlocq in the quarterfinals of the 2011 Croatia Open on Friday, 29th July, 2011 at 18:05 GMT, which is being held in Umga.
The head to head between both the players have clashed in tow matches in the past, as both the player have leveled their record of 1-1 and the previous encounter between them was in the 2010 Costa do Sauipe ATP tournament, as the former No.1 Spaniard, Ferrero has thrashed out the Argentina player, Carlos Berlocq in straight sets with a score line of 6-3 6-2.
Spaniard former No.1, Ferrero has entered into the second round of the Croatia Open when his opponent Argentine Maximo Gonzalez retired because of a back injury at 3-6, 6-3, 1-1. The Spaniard, Ferrero had to undergo left knee and wrist surgeries in Barcelona last year. After a long lull in his career, Ferrer has got a win-loss record of 10-3 this season in 2011. The unseeded Ferrero captured his 16th career title two weeks ago in Stuttgart.
Carlos Berlocq in his entered into the quarterfinals, after his opponent, Tommy Robredo has been retired from the match without playing a single game. Carlos Berlocq is having a win-loss record of 8-15 and is having one ATP title in his career.
As per the predications, it would be a straight sets victory for the former No.1, Juan Carlos Ferrero.
