The Wimbledon No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic has dethroned World No. 1 ranked Rafael Nadal in the final at All England Club with a 6-4, 6-1, 1-6 and 6-3 to crown Wimbledon Championship.
Novak Djokovic has won third Grand Slam championship, where he won his other major titles at Australian Open in 2008 and 2011. Serbian has made 50th win in 51 matches in this season, as he lost just one match to Roger Federer in the French Open semis.
The 24-year-old Djokovic went into Wimbledon final with an 11-16 win loss record against Rafael Nadal in five years rivalry, but Nadal had lost all five matches to Djokovic in this season. Djokovic has won the match in 2 hours and 38 minutes with a 6-4, 6-1, 1-6 and 6-3 score line. Djokovic said that, it is the most special day of his career and he always dreamed of winning Wimbledon tournament.
The President of Serbia Boris Tadic had watched the final match, sitting in the Royal Box at Wimbledon. Djokovic’s Coach Marian Vajda said that, it was the happiest moment in his life, because Djokovic has won Wimbledon championship and climbed to No. 1 position in the ATP Rankings. The 2010 Wimbledon champion Rafael Nadal said that, Djokovic had played unbelievable tennis in the final.
