The fourth seed in the Wimbledon mixed doubles final India’s Mahesh Bhupathi and Russian Elena Vesnina beaten-up by the Austrian Jurgen Melzer and Czech Iveta Benesova at All England Club in the Centre Court.
Jurgen Melzer and Iveta Benesova have lift the Wimbledon mixed doubles champions trophy at All England Club at Wimbledon on Sunday evening. The 24-year-old Russian star Elena Vesnina had been playing her fourth Grand Slam tournament final, she has failed to lift the championship trophy in the final.
Indian tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi has been playing for his eighth Grand Slam mixed doubles title, where he won the championship with seven different partners. He has won two mixed doubles titles with Elena Likhovtseva of Russia in 2002 and Mary Pierce of France in 2005.
Jurgen Melzer and Iveta Benesova has won the final with a 3-6 and 3-6, where they had taken just 51 minutes to wrap-up the match and bag the Wimbledon crown at Central Court. The pair has played well from the beginning and leaving no room for Indo-Russian pair in two sets. The 3-year-old Jurgen Melzer of Austrian performed well with his big serves and won his service game easily to put his team in leading with a 4-1. The Czech- Austrian pair has been in hot form in the Wimbledon championship and had not lost a single set on their way to crown Wimbledon crown.
