Sania Mirza – Elena Vesnina reaches Wimbledon Ladies’ doubles quarters

Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina had reached to the quarter finals at the All England Club at Wimbledon in London.

The fourth seeded Indo Russian pair Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina has defeated the 13th seed Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia and Polish Agnieszka Radwanska with a 6-4 and 6-3 in the women’s doubles match on Tuesday at Wimbledon. Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina have been playing well in this season, where the pair has reached final in the French Open at Roland Garros.

The pair will play against N Llagostera Vives and A Parra Santonja of Spain in the quarter final at the All England Club at Wimbledon. Llagostera Vives and Parra Santonja have thrashed Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci of Italy with a 7-5 and 6-4 score line in third round match.

Sania Mirza and Indian tennis star Mahesh Bhupathi has defeated Australians Stephen Huss and Anastasia Rodionova of Australia with a 6-2 and 7-6 (3) to reach the third round in the mixed doubles. The 14th seeds Leander Paes of India and Cara Black of Zimbabwe also reached the next round defeating Dutch Polish team of Rogier Wassen and Alicja Rosolska with a 6-1, 6-4 on Tuesday.
