Serena Williams, Venus Williams can still Flutter

The Williams sisters, who were out of tennis, due to injuries are back again in the Aegon Classic which is being held in AEGON Championships which is being held in Queen’s club, London. Serena Williams, after clinching her Wimbledon title was out tennis and is returning back after a period of 1 year.

The former world No.1 and the guest of honour at Aegon Classic, Martin Navratilova has said that, it’s like betting on a horse which you haven’t seen Serena’s run for a period of year, but she is an amazing horse and also stated that, it would be a huge success for Serena. She also stated that, every one will come to know about Serena this week, when she is hitting the balls for the first time at Eastbourne, after a span of one year.

The 18 time grand slam winner, Navratilova while speaking with various sources stated that, it is doubtful about the Williams sisters performance at Wimbledon this year, they could be in the finals or they could go out in the second round and said that, she is uncertain about the Williams sisters winning the title in Wimbledon. However, Maria Sharapova is perhaps the favourite player in Wimbledon.

While speaking about Li Na, Navratilova reported that, Li Na has a really good shot at it as well. She won at Edgebaston last year and her game transfers beautifully on any surface. It depends how she copes with all the attention.

Venus Williams will be back on court on Monday against Andrea Petkovic, while Serena Williams will be contesting in her first round against Tsvetana Pironkova in the 2011 AEGON Championships on Tuesday.
