The world No.1 player, Caroline Wozniacki has defeated Lucie Safarova in finals of the 2011 E-Boks Sony Ericsson Open to defend her tile in front of her home ground. 2011 E-Boks Sony Ericsson Open is Wozniacki’s fifth singles title of the year and 17th career triumph. Wozniacki has already conquered Dubai, Indian Wells, Charleston and Brussels this season and is hoping to add a much awaited Grand Slam title in her career.
The top seeded player in the tournament and the world No.1, Caroline Wozniacki has thrashed out Lucie Safarova in straight sets with a score line 6-1, 6-4 in the finals of the 2011 2011 E-Boks Sony Ericsson Open, which was held on Sunday, 12th June, 2011.
The world No.1 player playing in front of her crowd started out the finals kick off with a brilliant note. In the first set, Wozniacki has not given any chances to Safarova. In the first 22 minutes of play she finished of the first set with a score line of 6-1 and in the second set Safarova acme well and broke the Dane back to level things up at 2-2. However, the world No.1 pocketed a critical break in the fifth game to complete take the second set 6-4 and won the match with a score line of 6-1 6-4 to finish the match in just 67 minutes of play.
Caroline Wozniacki will play her next match in the up-coming Wimbledon tournament 2011.
