Will Roger Federer Be The First and Last Men to Beat Djokovic?

Novak Djokovic with an undefeated winning streak the season will be clashing with Roger Federer in the semifinals of the French Open 2011 on Friday at the Roland Garros tournament in Paris, France. Federer was the last men to beat Novak Djokovic in the round robin match with a score line of 6-1 6-4 in Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, which was held in London.

After that match, the Serbian was undefeated thorough out the season winning 41 consecutive matches and is now just one victory away to break John McEnroe record of 42-0. Djokovic playing his best tennis this season winning seven title this year and beating his rival Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. The world No.2 has defeated Federer three consecutive encounters and has thrashed out the world No.1 in four consecutive finals of Masters Tournaments in 2011. The best of those victories came on clay court, when the undefeated world No.2 has thrashed out the king of clay on his favourite surface winning, Madrid and Rome Masters 2011.

While the world No.3, Roger Federer with a marvellous performance was thrashed out by the Serbian in successive encounters. However, the Swiss with an incredible performance is playing well in the French Open 2011 and defeated all his challengers in straight sets and now he will be contesting Djokovic in the semifinals of the Roland Garros tournament, which has been a biggest threat to 16-time grand slam winner.

Federer has reached four consecutive finals, here at Roland Garros from 2006 -09, but clinched the title only in 2009 and is having a lot of experience playing on in finals fours of the Roland Garros tournament from the past five years.

The Serbian world No.2 aiming for his first grand slam title on clay court at Roland Garros and aspiring to record breaking 42-0 consecutive victories will be stopped by Federer, who was the last men to beat the Serbian in the end of 2010 and become the first men to hold Djokovic to full fill his records.
