The world No. 1 Rafael Nadal will face Andy Murray in the semi final match in the French Open tournament on Friday 3rd May. The match will kick off at 2:00 pm local time at Court Philippe Chatrier at Roland Garros.
The defending champion Nadal is looking for his sixth Roland Garros title here in Paris, where he is also having an outstanding record with a 44-1 win loss at Roland Garros. The world No. 4 Andy Murray is playing first time someone ranked higher than him in the tournament. He had never played against Nadal at Roland Garros, who had won the five French Open titles in six years. Murray’s former coach Miles MaClagan said that, Britain has a chance to beat the Nadal in the French Open semis, where he need to produce one of the best tactical performance of his career.
Nadal had played his best game in the quarter final against Robin Soderling, where he thrashed him in three sets to enter into the semis.
The other semi finals match will between 16-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic at Court Philippe Chatrier.
