The defending champion Francesca Schiavone advanced into the finals of the French Open tournament on Thursday being played here at Roland Garros in Paris.
Francesca Schiavone has reached the French Open 2011 finals with a confident win against Home favorite Marion Bartoli in the semi finals of the tournament. The 2011 French Open Schiavone has won the match in straight sets with a 6-3 and 6-3 and wrap up the match in 1 hour and 30 minutes.
The 30-year-old Schiavone hit 22 winners in the entire match, she also benefited from the 16 unforced errors committed by the Frenchwoman Marion Bartoli. Schiavone has advanced second consecutive occasion into the finals of the French Open, where she won the Roland Garros title in 2010 and looking to win the title for second time.
Schiavone will face Na Li of China in the final of the French Open tournament on Saturday. The world No. 6 Na Li has defeated Maria Sharapova in the semi final in straight sets with a 6-4 and 7-5 on Thursday. Both the players are facing for the fifth time, where both are having 2-2 record against each other. It will be one of the most exciting matches in the French Open tournament.
Both the players are having the chances to lift the title at Roland Garros.
