Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina advanced into the doubles French Open final on Wednesday at Roland Garros.
Sania Mirza and her Russian partner Elena Vesnina have defeated American due Liezel Huber and Lisa Raymond in a three sets with a 6-3, 2-6 and 6-4 in the semi finals of the French Open tournament on Wednesday. In the French Open doubles finals Mirza and Vesnina will play against Czech duo Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka. Sania Mirza and Vesnina have wrap up the match in 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Sania and Vesnina broke their opponents early in the first set to lead 4-1 and bagged 6-3 in 30 minutes, but they lost the second set with 2-6. Both the players come back strongly in third set with a 6-4 to clinch the game.
Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka have thrashed third seeded pair of Vania King of United States and Yaroslava Shvedova of Kazakhstan with a 6-3 and 6-3 in the another semi finals of the French Open.
At their first pairing in February both Mirza and Vesnina had won two titles in this season at Indian Wells in March and in Charleston in April. Indian star Mirza is appearing third Grand Slam final in her career.
