The World No. 1, Rafael Nadal is illustrating some temporary gestures of frustration with the tennis game. This is based on his most recent complaint about the long tour of the ATP schedule at the French Open 2011. The top seed has now been overpowering all of his opponents as in the past years. Recently, he has dropped the hint that he is feeling pressure in his career.
Rafael Nadal said that it is his ninth year on the tour and it is completely the similar feeling every year. As it is his seventh year being in the top two at rankings, so it is nothing new to have to defend points. He told these words after hearing that ATP rankings were taken as per the two year’s worth of results basis.
Nadal feels that a change would allow players to better their schedule for years and will also give time for some rest. He told that it is too much every year and every week. He added that he had spent just one week at his home since Davis Cup, which has taken place early March. He said that in his opinion, it is too much travel for him.
Giving his views, Nadal stated that Tennis is a very demanding sport, both mentally and physically. He adds that it is more mentally played, as he has won the Roland Garros for five times and he will start his practice on Queen’s grass on next Monday. He also said that for players it is definitely mental, as there is no chance to stop the season. He thinks that it is the way that they have shorter careers. Rafael concluded that he is 25-years-old but he seems like he has been playing there for 100 years on the tour.
