Serena Williams along with her sister Venus Williams has scheduled to play for the world Team Tennis which is going to be held in July at home. Serena Williams, Venus Williams, John McEnroe and Melanie Oudin will be among five live broadcasts of World Team Tennis.
Thirteen time grand slam winner after her Wimbledon victory July, 2010 was out of tennis undergoing foot surgery and then developing blood clots in her lung. She has even scheduled to play the on going French Open 2011 Grand Slam tournament. However, as she is still recovering form her injuries, she has decided to pull-out of the tournament.
But, the WTT Reports, Rosie Crews has stated that, Serena talked about being excited about coming back to play World Team Tennis in July and reported that, Serena along with her sister, Venus are scheduled to join Washington Kastles team and she is scheduled to play on July 7 at home against Boston and July 9 at Sacramento.
The 13-time grand slam winners along with her sister have pulled out of the French Open grand slam tournament, as they are still recovering from the injuries.
The Williams sisters, who were the former American world No.1 in WTA, are out of the top-10 in WTA rankings, as of now.
The World Team Tennis is a nine-team league that was founded by Billie Jean King and the event will be held from July 4-24.
