The world No. 2 Caroline Wozniacki is having the chances to win the Grand Slam title in her career for the first time in Roland Garros.
Caroline Wozniacki had not won a major tournament so far, where she had won first clay court tournament in Charleston Open. Wozniacki having the great opportunity to lift the Paris championship because former world No. 1 Serena Williams, Venus Williams and Dinara Safina were all are missing this year’s French Open event.
The Russian star Dinara Safina has taken break from the tennis, where Serena Williams and Venus Williams are out of the event, due to major injures. The world No. 2 Kim Clijsters is fit to play in the Roland Garros.
The 20-year-old said that she needs to win seven matches to grab the title and she is having the ability to perform well on clay court. In this season Maria Sharapova, Jelena Jankovic and Samantha Stosur are playing dangerously, it could be threaten from any of these players. Wozniacki has entered into the quarter-finals of the French Open last year.
Wozniacki said she is focusing all the Grand Slam in 2011 and wants to win one Gland Slam at least. Recently, she had lost few matches at Stuttgart Open, Madrid Open and Italian Open semifinal.
