The Nike Brand Ambassadors Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Maria Sharapova will be wearing the brand new collections for the 2011 French Open which were introduced by the Nike.
With the competition heating up in tennis with the new talents of Djokovic, Murray and Ferrer etc. Nike and Nike Tennis developed the new French Open kit in the expectations that the world’s most successive tennis players will regain in action at the next major Grand Slam at the clay courts of Roland Garros.
After experimentation with T-shirts, the Swiss world No.3 will go back to classic polo, Nadal, the top seeded Spaniard will sport with a bright blue T-shirt with a bright blue updated version of his current Nike Air Court Ballistec 3.3 Tennis Shoes, and the Russian Glamour’s tennis sensation, Sharapova will go yellow, sporting a dress inspired by Eiffel Tower.
In tribute to Federer’s Swiss heritage and color indicative of Federer’s speed, the Roger Federer Nike Tennis Collection for 2011 French Open, is one of predominately red with hint of white. Improved for the warm Parisian sun, the RF Trophy Stripe Polo is made from Nike’s Dri-FIT fabric. Already the most utilized fabric among Nike’s apparel line, the light weight and moisture wicking elements make it the ideal material to fabricate Federer’s signature collection from. All seams are Sonic Welded, a process which eliminates the need of extra fabric or threads.
