Novak Djokovic will be clashing for the first time in his career against the Slovenia, Blaz Kavic in the quarter finals at Belgrade. This will be their first head to head match against each other. However, when both the player’s battled against each other, when they were 14-years old, Kavcic has defeated Djokovic.
Djokovic, the undefeated men this season with 25 victories, will be improving to 26 with a win against Kavcic. The top seeded Serbian can make a history with a win over Blaz Kavcic, of Slovenia, in the quarter finals, owning the longest undefeated streak to begin a year.
Kavcic is in fine form with 10 ATP victories this year. Kavic, the world No.85th Slovenian player has made into the quarter finals in Chennai Open and also qualified for successive events in Melbourne, Zagreb, and Delray Beach.
Kavic has shown an amazing performance, thrashing out Tobias Kamke and Ricardo Mello in straight sets at the Serbian Open 2011. Kavcic is a scrappy opponent and solid baseline, so he is going to make Djokovic work in this one. However, it could be difficult task for the world No.85 to over come against the top seeded player in the tournament.
