Roger Federer, the Swiss Maestro, who is preparing for the Madrid at his home will be playing his next clay court tournament in Madrid Open 2011, which will be scheduled to start from May 1st 2011.
It would be an interesting contest as the top seeded players fighting to win the tournament and preparing for the up coming clay court Grand slam event, French Open. The last year finalist in Madrid Open, Roger Federer had some good record at Madrid and winning championship title in 2006 and 2009.
Federer in 2006 has thrashed out Fernando Gonzalez in a three set thriller with 7–5, 6–1, 6–0 and in 2009, he has defeated the King of Clay, Rafael Nadal in straight sets. And in 2007 and 2010, he was thrashed in the finals of the Madrid Open.
So it could be interesting to watch, if Federer can achieve his third title at the Madrid Open 2011.
Although the King of Clay, Nadal is a heavy favourite for the 2011 Madrid Open title, Federer has more or less equal form in the book at the struggle to accomplish his third at Madrid and continues his rivalry against the top seeded Spaniard.
Federer earlier in his first clay court tournament of the year, Monte Carlo Masters 2011 has been defeated Austrian, Juergen Melzer in the quarter finals of the Monte Carlo Masters and is now anticipating for good show at the Madrid Open 2011.
