The American tennis stars and former World No.1 sisters, Serena Williams and Venus Williams are invited as a special guests at Southeast Tennis and Learning Center in Washington, D.C on Thursday, 28th April, 2011.
The two times doubles Olympics Gold medalist players, Serena and Venus will be participating in the 10th anniversary this week at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center in Washington, D.C.
The tennis learning center in Washington will be helping and encouraging the kinds in their academic and athletic agenda. The Williams sisters will present a tennis clinic at the center on Thursday night and will be the guests of honors at a dinner celebration.
The CEO of the Recreation Wish List Committee, Masters Barry has said that, it has been created in 2001 and more then 4000 kids have joined in the center’s program and 30-students have received tennis scholarships from schools including Penn State, Howard and Morgan State.
And the Barry said that, the center offers, the week programs for students in between the age 7 to 17 years and weekend program for children’s age 3-6, and finally the CEO has stated that, Tennis is the hook, education is the key.
The seven times Grand slam winner, Venus Williams has said that, Education goes hand in hand with athletics and said that, they’ve been totally committed. It’s been a great 10 years for the young people and stated that, her family has known Barry for about 10 years.
