Can Novak Djokovic Really Strolls Rafael Nadal on Clay?

Novak Djokovic, the World No.2 player, who has defeated Rafael Nadal in back to back finals in Indian Wells and Miami 2011, can really hold the king of Clay in the clay court season, this year.

Djokovic, who has started his Clay Court with a victory against the Romania Qualifier, Adrian Ungur with a 6-2 6-3 and is undefeated this season with 25-0. However on Wednesday, the World No.2 still had too much for Ungur, who is 173 places below him in the world rankings and was broken twice the match, as he looked in trouble against the Romanian. Djokovic has said that, it is tough to play on clay after almost a year and it would take some time to get used to it.

The inform player this season, Djokovic has captured four titles this year, including the Australian Open Grand slam title against his rivals, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.

Djokovic was out due to knee njury in the clay court season opening tournaments in Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona Open. However, after his comeback from injury in his home tournament, Serbian Open 2011, he was looking good against the Qualifier, who was ranked 175 in the world.

So, can the undefeated man this year, Djokovic overcome the top seeded Spaniard, Nadal, who has captured five French Open titles and back to back clay court titles this season with Monte Carlo Masters and Barcelona Open 2011.

Earlier before the start of the Serbia Open 2011 Djokovic has said that, he has been matured as a player and a person and said that, he is capable of holding against the world’s best players under any circumstances.
