Roger Federer, the top seeded player in the tournament, moved swiftly into the final eight of the Sony Ericsson Open 2011, easing past Olivier Rochus on Wednesday, 30th March, 2011 in Miami Masters.
The world no.3 Roger Federer, who faced Oliver Rochus in the final sixteen of the tournament on Wednesday morning at 12:37 a.m. EST, has shown a marvelous effort in order to get rid of the qualifier and the world no.89 with 6-3 6-1 needing just 52 minutes to enter into the quarter finals of the Sony Ericsson Open 2011.

Federer, the Swiss maestro will be playing his quarter-finals match against the world no.25, Gilles Simon, the Frenchman rallied from a set down for the second consecutive day, outlasting Serbian Janko Tipsarevic 4-6, 7-6(2), 6-2 in a fourth round battle.
It would be a typical task for the world no.3 player in his quarter-finals match, as he has already been thrashed out by the French man, Gilles Simon twice in their three meetings at various tournaments.
