The top two seeds of the tournament, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic registered easy fourth round wins to enter the quarter-finals of Sony Ericsson Open Masters 2011 at Miami. The match was played on Tuesday 29th March, 2011.
Spain star Rafael Nadal steeped onto the tennis court to take on Ukraine Alexandr Dolgopolov. Nadal gunned down first serve of the match; he broke Dolgopolov more than once and consolidated the breaks with cheer aggression to keep himself ahead of the match. He served 75% of his first serves in 2 aces and clobbered 5 aces to take the lead in the first set 6-1 and he also won the second set easily by 6-2.
Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic won the match against his countryman Viktor Troicki with 6-3, 6-2 to enter the quarter-finals of the Sony Ericsson Open 2011. Djokovic had easily swept to his 21st straight win in this season. Djokovic has won all three tournaments in this season following Australian Open, Dubai Open and Indian Wells tournaments. Novak Djokovic won the straight set to enter the quarters of Sony Ericsson Open Masters.
Novak Djokovic will now face the South African Kevin Anderson in the quarters of Sony Ericsson Open 2011 Masters. Djokovic said that, balls were getting very tough and conditions are very slow, he was focusing on his job.
