Rafael Nadal, the Spanish world no.1, will return to Spain’s Davis Cup team against Belgium which is going to be held next week from 4th-6th of March.
The world no.1, who is returning back from a Thigh Muscle Tear injury, since his defeat in the quarter finals of the Australian open against his fellow ATP team-mate, David Ferrer, is going to play Davis Cup 2011 against Belgium.
The return of Rafael Nadal to competition has been set for Spain’s Davis Cup first-round tie with Belgium from March 4-6. Albert Costa, the captain of Spain Davis cup team has confirmed that, the world No. 1 will head a side along with David Ferrer, Fernando Verdasco and Feliciano Lopez.
Nadal, the Spaniard, who was aiming to win the Australian Open and become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four Grand Slam titles on a consecutively was defeated by fellow Davis cup team-mate, David Ferrer.
Rafael Nadal will return to Spain’s Davis Cup team for the first time since their 2009 victory to face Belgium next week. The top seeded player has helped Spain to win the fourth Davis cup match in his last outing. Spain beat Belgium 5-0 in their most recent meeting in Seville in 2003.
