Any person or an admirer in the world of tennis, know the names of the tennis sensations Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, their hot rivalry and tough challenges in any tennis tournament.
But, it is now the time for the new tennis superstars, which is kicking up a huge sensation on new faces, as if the rivalry between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer is getting shortened.
Several players are just better than others, and the first one in the list of improved tennis performers is Novak Djokovic, who is one of the better players and has potential for up to 5 Grand Slams.
Considering the Novak Djokovic’s superb performance in the recent season, Federer and Nadal’s, supremacy of the Grand Slams will come to an end.
Djokovic (World no.3), enhanced performance in recent months, has allowed him to meet Nadal in more tournaments. The Spaniard and the world no.1, Nadal’s consistent form generally brings him to the finals of every tournament, where it would not be a surprise to see Djokovic on the other side of the court.
The rivalry between Nadal and Djokovic, in the U.S. Open, 2010, was a remarkable display of shot-making, which was better than recent Federer-Nadal matches. With Djokovic’s clean play, and Nadal’s, excellent offense-defense strategy, the duo is usually bound to play great matches.
However, confident Djokovic has challenged the never-say-die Spaniard. Such was the case at the U.S. Open, and the 2009 Mutual Madrilena Madrid Open semifinals, where Djokovic fought on till the end of the three-hour epic encounter. However, in the both the encounters, Nadal (seeded no.1) has won the game.
Novak Djokovic’s mother said that, the “King is not Dead,” but the “King’s” rivalry against Nadal may soon be “dead,” at least in competition for the best rivalry.
