Novak Djokovic is Just 85 points behind to conquer the world no.2 position for the first time in his career suppressing Roger Federer.
Novak Djokovic, the Serbian player, won his 2nd Australian Open on Sunday against Andy Murray, closed with over-all points of 7,880 in the ATP rankings. Djokovic is now just 85-points behind roger Federer with over-all points of 7965.
Rafael Nadal, the top seeded Spaniard, even after losing in the quarterfinal of the Australian open, has an over-all lead of 4,000 points with total 12,390, has stood on top of the table.
The other top ten players, includes David Ferrer, the Australian open semifinalist, moving up to sixth position and surpassing Thomas Berdych, and Jurgen Melzer moved up to 10th, a career best.
The major move in the top 25 ranking in the table includes, Stanislas Wawrinka, moving to 14th in the ranking.
Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, was the major dropped down in the table with five positions, where his ranking was dropped from 13th to 18th in the men’s ranking table and the other players includes Marin Cilic, dropping down form 15th rank to 20th rank and John Isner from 20th position to 24th position in the over all ranking table.
The major surprise in the men’s ranking was Alexandr Dolgopolov, the quarterfinalist, after defeating Tsonga, in the Third round and Robin Soderling in the fourth round of the Australian Open, has moved up in the men’s ranking from 46th to 32nd.
Leyton Hewitt, after losing in the first round of the Australian open dropped down from 54th to 68th, his lowest ranking since Jun. 2009.
