Novak Djokovic, after winning his 2nd Australian Open grand slam title in straight sets against Andy Murray, is aiming for a Wimbledon title this year.
The 23-years old Serbian player, Novak Djokovic, never reached the All England Club (Wimbledon Tournament) finals in his career. He was the tow-time semifinalist in the Wimbledon
tournament in the year 2007 and 2010.
However, Djokovic said that the this year Wimbledon tournament will be one of the most important tours and has set his sight to win the first grass court title.
Djokovic has confirmed his participation along with the Rafael Nadal in the AEGON Championships, which will be held at Queen’s Club in London from 6th of June to -12th June, 2011. This tour will be good preparation for the Wimbledon title.
Earlier in 2008, Djokovic and Nadal, clashed in the finals of the classic tournament at The Queen’s Club, in which, the world no,3, held the service break in both the sets. However, the top seeded, Spaniard, Nadal won the match by 7-6 7-5.
Djokovic, said that, ‘The AEGON Championship’ is one of the best grass court tournaments and the Queens Club has got a lovely atmosphere and is crowded with spectators all around the ground.
Nadal and Djokovic had an unbelievable match in the Queen’s final in 2008 and it was the closest ever he got to a grass court title. Wimbledon is the most important tournament (of the year) for Djokovic , and said that, he really want to do well at Queen’s and at Wimbledon this year.
