Rafael Nadal, the 24 year- old Spaniard (world no.1), is out for short period due to Thigh Muscle Tear.
The leg injury affected Rafael Nadal, mission for four consecutive Grand Slam tennis titles being endorsed after his loss in the Australian Open and will be out for a short period.
A diagnosis by Angel Ruiz Cotorro, Spanish tennis federation doctor concluded Nadal has the longus muscle in his right thigh during last week’s quarterfinal defeat to countryman David Ferrer.
According to the sources, his recovery comprises, stretching, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and physiotherapy.
The top seeded player, Nadal aiming to become the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four Grand Slam titles.
However, due to leg injury he lost his match against his Davis cup partner Davis Ferrer.
Nadal due to injury in the Quarter finals of the Australian Open was defeated against his Davis cup teammate David Ferrer by 6-4, 6-2, 6-3.
The Spaniard is scheduled to play in the Davis Cup for Spain against Belgium in Charleroi from March 4 to 6.
Rafael Nadal, earlier in January, 2010, was out of Australian open due to Knee injury. However, after his return, the worldno.1 was the champion won the remaining three grand slam tournaments US title, Wimbledon and French open.
