He became the seventh player in the history of tennis to win all the four grand slams tournaments.

It has been a superb year for the world No.1 player, where he collected 7 titles in 2010 and he is currently one of best players in the history of tennis.

As the year is just coming to an end, there is no doubt about who is the tennis icon in the year 2010; it was the complete domination of Nadal who came back from an injury after the Australian open.

The world No.1 player who had withdrawn in the quter finials form the last year Australian open due to Knee injury came back strongly and won 3 grand slam titles in the year 2010.

If Nadal wins the upcoming Australian open in the year 2011 then he will be the first player since Rod Laver in 1969 to win all the 4- major grand slam titles in the calendar year.

Nadal, the greatest of all time sealed the world No.1 rank form Roger Federer in this year and has dominated in all aspects of the game.
