Roger Federer in Quarter Finals of Cincinnati Open
Roger Federer reached the quarter-finals of the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters, after Philipp Kohlschreiber released before his third round match with a right shoulder injury.
The defending champion has not finished a game this week when he received a pass in the first round and second round opponent, Denis Istomin, retired at 5-2 in the first set. A right ankle injury forced Istomin to retire before finishing the first set.
Roger Federer will next play against Nikolay Davydenko in the second quarter-finals; Nikolay Davydenko beat David Ferrer 4-6, 6-3 and 7-5 in the third round.
