Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will meet Viktor Troicki in the Internazionali BNL d’Italia 2010 match on Wednesday.

At the 2010 Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has entered as the No.7 seed and received a bye into the second round. He will play either play Viktor Troicki or the Dutchman who beat him in the previous week Thiemo de Bakker in that opening second round.

In the Barcelona Open Banco Sabadell 2010, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was seeded 3rd, and thus received a bye in the first round. In his opening match (second-round), he beat Czech Jan Hajek comfortably 6–3, 6–2. In the third round, he faced Seed No.15 Nicolas Almagro in a rematch of their last meeting at Monte Carlo in the previous week. Jo won again in another tough match against Almagro 5–7, 6–1, 6–4. However, he was stunned by up-and-coming Dutch youngster Thiemo de Bakker 4–6, 6–3, 3–6 in the quarterfinals.

Viktor Troicki is a serbian tennis player and achieved his career high rank No.24 on 3rd August 2009.In the 2010 Dubai Tennis Championships, he lost to Novak Djokovic in the second round. In the 2010 BNP Paribas Open he lost in the 4th round to Tomas Berdych 6-1, 6-3 having only played and won 1 game in the previous rounds, as he received a bye when his second round opponent Pablo Cuevas retired after 1 game and Nikolay Davydenko withdrew. In the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open he lost to David Nalbandian in a close match 3-6, 6-4, 4-6 in the second round after receiving a bye.

In the start of the clay season Troicki competed in the 2010 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters losing to 12th seed Tommy Robredo in the second round after defeating Lukasz Kubot 4-6, 6-2, 6-2.
