World No.2 Serbian player Novak Djokovic will play against Mardy Fish in the BNP Paribas Open 2010 match on Saturday.

He won his only Grand Slam singles title at the 2008 Australian Open. After beating World No. 1 and defending champion Roger Federer in the semi-finals, Djoković defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final, becoming the first player representing Serbia to win a Grand Slam singles title and the youngest player in the open era to have reached the semifinals of all four Grand Slam events.

He was the runner-up at the 2007 US Open and won the bronze medal in singles representing Serbia at the 2008 Olympic Games. He won the Tennis Masters Cup in 2008 and has won five Masters Series tournaments.

At the 2010 Dubai Tennis Championships, he defeated Russian Mikhail Youzhny 7-5, 5-7, 6-3 to win his first tournament of the year. It is the first time Djokovic has defended a title, after winning it in 2009.

At the 2010 Davis Cup first round against Serbia vs. USA (on a clay surface), he helped his Serbian team reach the quarterfinals (clinching the penultimate tie at 3-1, but 3-2 including dead rubber matches). In his singles match, he beat Sam Querrey in four sets, and John Isner in five sets.
