Czech player  Lucie Safarova will face Germany player Julia Goerges in the BNP Paribas Open 2010 match on Thursday at Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

Lucie Safarova has won four WTA titles and reached the quarterfinals of the 2007 Australian Open, upsetting defending champion Amélie Mauresmo. She has reached six singles finals: Estoril (clay), ‘s-Hertogenbosch (grass), Forest Hills (hardcourt) in 2005; Gold Coast (hardcourt) in 2006; Paris (carpet) in 2007, and Forest Hills (2008) and Quebec City in 2009. Lucie Safarova is currently at No.41 in the World Tennis Rankings.

Germany player Julia Goerges qualified for 2007 US Open and lost with 6-0, 6-3 against World No.1 Justine Henin in the first round. Julia Goerges reached a career high singles ranking of World Number 64 on 15 February 2010. Julia Goerges has won 4 ITF singles titles and 3 ITF doubles titles in her career.
