Ivan Ljubicic vs Novak Djokovic Barclay’s Dubai Tennis Championship match on Thursday, February 25, 2010.

Defending Champion and Seeded No.2  Novak Djokovic moved to Quarterfinals and face the former top-five player Ivan Ljubicic in the Quarterfinals of  Barclay’s Dubai Tennis Championship on Thursday.

The rest of the top players like  Andy Murray, Nikolay Davydenko and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga are all out in the second round of this tournament.

Novak Djokovic played against  Viktor Troicki in the second round and defeat with 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. on the hardcourts at Dubai Tennis Stadium. Novak Djokovic defeated Spaniard David Ferrer in last year’s finale here.

Ivan Ljubicic defeat fifth-seeded Tsonga with 7-5, 6-3 in the second round on Day 3.

Many surprises happened in the second round on Day 3.

Andy Murray, who is third seeded and Australian Open runner-up was defeated by  Janko Tipsarevic with 7-6, 4-6, 6-4.  Janko Tipsarevic completed his match in just two-and-half hours against Andy Murray.

Fourth seeded Nikolay Davydenko also dropped in the first set against German player  Michael Berrer, 6-3 and retired from the match due to wrist injury.
